Skyport Tycoon: why lounges should come before new routes
Skyport Tycoon's natural instinct is to keep adding routes and planes. More flights, more money, right? Mostly — but there's a better lever early on.
Passenger lounges keep travellers in your terminal longer, and the longer they stay, the more they spend at your shops. That income compounds in a way new routes don't match at the start.
I built two lounges before my fourth route and watched my cash flow climb steadily instead of in spikes. It made the mid-game expansion far less stressful.
Keep an eye on the bottleneck readout too. The game is honest about what's slowing you down, and chasing that number is almost always the right move.
